A God Who Meets Us in Our Brokenness
The world often tells us to hide our pain, put on a brave face, and carry on. But Jesus invites us to bring our brokenness into the light of His love. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NIV).
In His presence, we don’t have to pretend. We can be honest about our wounds, doubts, and fears. It is here—in authenticity and surrender—that the healing begins.
Healing That Touches the Whole Person
Jesus doesn’t just patch up our pain; He restores wholeness. Scripture reveals that God cares about every part of us—spirit, soul, and body. Healing in His presence isn’t only about physical restoration (though He certainly does that). It’s also about mending the deep places of the heart where grief, trauma, and shame take root.
When we open ourselves to Him through prayer, worship, and Scripture, His Spirit ministers to the hidden places we cannot reach on our own.
Environments of Encounter
At Pastoral Care Ministries, we believe healing encounters with Jesus happen when we create environments of prayer, teaching, and ministry led by the Holy Spirit. These aren’t about formulas or quick fixes. They’re about slowing down, listening, and allowing the Lord to minister to each person uniquely.
Whether through inner healing teaching, prayer ministry, or simple moments of worship, the goal is the same: to help people encounter the living Christ for themselves.
A Journey, Not a Moment
Healing in Jesus is often both instant and ongoing. Some experience breakthrough in a single moment of prayer, while for others, it unfolds over time through discipleship and community. What matters is staying close to Him, allowing His presence to transform us step by step.
Like the blind man in Mark 8:22–25, who first saw “people looking like trees walking” before his sight was fully restored, our healing journey may come in stages. But every step brings us closer to the fullness of life that Jesus promised.
Closing Thought
Encountering Jesus is not about striving; it’s about receiving. His presence is already here, ready to meet us in our weakness and lift us into wholeness. At PCM, our heart is to walk with you into these sacred encounters, where the love of Christ restores what was broken and fills every part of life with His peace.
